“Pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” - 1 Thessalonians 5:17-18
All of us need prayer all the time – this is most certainly true! A couple years ago Christ Lutheran began printing a weekly prayer list so that we could together focus our prayer on those who need it most at a particular time. We have been able to lift up in prayer our sisters and brothers who are facing sickness or injury, difficult circumstances, those grieving the death of a loved one, and anyone in special need.
Prayer is about relationship – with each other and with God. Let us continue to grow closer to each other and to God in our shared prayers for sisters and brothers in need.
Please add your own prayer request to be offered before God during our Sunday liturgy. If you would like to be contacted for pastoral support, please use our prayer request below or call the church office at 717-299-5639, and someone will be in touch with you as soon as possible.
There are classes for nursery-age children through adult. Nursery through elementary school classes, taught by Sue Ile, are combined with a Bible theme and Bible stories. The class meets in the church second floor.
Our first-level confirmation class (7th and 8th grades) studies "The Ten Commandments" and "The Meaning of Service."
High school age students (9th through 12th grades) are taught by Mike Herman.
The adult class studies a variety of Christian Education materials that include different books of the Bible and daily Christian living. The class is taught by a variety of teachers during the year, including the Pastor at times. The class meets in the Parlor next to the Sanctuary.
